Get ready for an evening of intellectual rigor and innovation as six student teams go head-to-head in a high-stakes debate at the prestigious De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms.

This event will follow a ‘model UN’ format that will see teams role-playing as different financial bodies debating the role of central banks in the green transition.

Sponsored by the Qatar Centre for Global Banking & Finance, join us for an electrifying evening on February 29, 2024, as these students unleash their ingenious solutions to combat climate change and propel the green transition forward.

Judging Panel

  • Theresa Lober (Head of Climate Project Team at Bank of England)
  • Professor Gulcin Ozkan (Professor of Finance, KBS)
  • Professor Luca Taschini (Chair of Climate Change Finance, University of Edinburgh)
  • Violeta Fernández (Cabinet Member of Member of European Parliament, Eva Poptcheva)
  • David Carlin - (Head of Climate Risk, United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative)

With a panel of esteemed experts as judges, this promises to be a showdown you won't want to miss.

But the excitement doesn't end there – following the debate, engage in an interactive networking session. This is your chance to connect with the participants, judges, alumni, fellow students, and staff present, fostering meaningful connections.

Be part of the action, network with like-minded peers, and witness the future leaders of sustainability in action.
