This MRC webinar, chaired by Dr Martin Stevens (HSCWRU), was presented by Fintan Sheerin, Associate Professor of Intellectual Disability Nursing and Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin and Associate Professor at the School of Psychology, University College Dublin. 

In this webinar Fintan outlined the development of the SOOTHE project, and discussed messages for social care and other practitioners. SOOTHE is a project which aims to support mental health and wellbeing among people with intellectual disabilities.

Fintan Sheerin is an intellectual disability nurse with extensive experience of nursing in many fields. He is actively involved in intellectual disability and equality-related research and was an expert consultant to the RTÉ (Ireland's National Television and Radio Broadcaster) Investigations Unit. He is principal investigator on the SOOTHE project.
