Meeting Point: London Victoria Station at 8.50am (main concourse in front of Wasabi store), taking the train to Canterbury East at 9.10am

Join the Chaplaincy for a day trip to Canterbury in Holy Week - the week that leads up to Easter - to visit some of the earliest Christian sites in England. We will take the train from London to Canterbury and explore parts of this important place for Christianity, and the Anglican Communion in particular, on foot. We will finish the trip with an optional attendance of Evensong at Canterbury Cathedral (should there be attendees that do not wish to attend Evensong, the trip for them could end by 4.30pm). There will be also the opportunity to participate on a Smartphone Photography walk with the Revd Jim Craig.

The trip will include:

  • St Martin's Church
  • St Augustine's Abbey
  • Tour of Canterbury Cathedral

All fees for the sites are included. Food and drinks are not included. Attendees will be expected to bring their own food or purchase their own food en route/in Canterbury. There will be a lunch break in Canterbury.

All are welcome - there are a few places available, to register for this trip please email chaplaincy@kcl.ac.uk. You are expected to pay for your own train tickets (London Victoria - Canterbury East - London Victoria), and recommend that you book your tickets in advance only once your place is confirmed.
