UK Deterrence and Assurance Academic Alliance Conference

This year, the UK Deterrence and Assurance Academic Alliance (DAAA) is pleased to announce that it will hold its annual conference in partnership with the Defence Nuclear Organisation and King’s College London.

The focus of the conference will be the challenges and implications of the changing deterrence and escalation landscape in an era of systemic competition.

Over two days, experts in the field will take part in various panel sessions on the following topics:

  • Deterrence and strategic culture in theory
  • Deterrence: The UK Government perspective
  • Deterrence and strategic culture in practice
  • Deterrence methodology
  • Deterrence and society
  • Deterrence considerations in the space and cyber domains
  • Technologies and deterrence theory
