UX Day for Higher Education 2026

Macadam Building, Strand Campus, London

14Maynull

UX Day is a one-day conference bringing together UX practitioners working across the Higher Education sector. It is designed as a space for open exchange between researchers, academics, designers, product managers, and developers who are navigating the particular complexities of universities and academic institutions.

The focus of the day is practical rather than theoretical. We are interested in real projects, real constraints, and real institutional contexts: what it means to conduct user research within governance structures, how to introduce product thinking into legacy systems, how to design for both students and staff, and how to build UX culture in environments shaped by competing priorities.

Above all, UX day seeks to strengthen connections across institutions. By sharing approaches, tools, and work practices, participants will have the opportunity not only to showcase their work but also to build relationships, exchange ideas, and develop a more cohesive UX community within Higher Education.

Keynote speaker: Sarah Zama, Head of UX, User experience (UX) Centre of Excellence at the University of Oxford

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

We are inviting both speakers and participants to take part in our upcoming event.

If you would like to speak, please submit your proposal by 19th April via this form. We will shortlist proposals on 23rd April, and successful speakers will then be invited to complete their full application from that date. The attendance fee for speakers will be subsidised to £25.

We look forward to your submissions!

This event is supported by Arts & Humanities Research Culture fund 2025/2026.
