The ‘Visualising the Invisible’ interactive pop-up invites visitors to the Arts in Mind festival to consider how the arts can be used in mental health education.  The stall will showcase the Visualising Vulnerability project, co-developed by Dr Patricia Zunszain, Department of Psychological Medicine, and The Liminal Space, Creative Consultants; and the Virtual Gallery project co-developed by Dr Dawn Albertson, Distance Learning, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, and Dr Catherine Lamont-Robinson, Curator and Artist; both of which piloted at the IoPPN in the last year.

These innovative programmes used visual art to give form to states of mind that are often hidden from view and cloaked in stigma, and to explore complex psychological concepts. Works produced by artists and students during the projects will be on display.

Participants will be able to talk to the artists and students involved in the project and consider and contribute their own responses to the artworks that will then become part of the installation.
