Join an online info session to find out more about volunteering at The Felix Project.
The Felix project aims to give new life to surplus food, by redistributing it across London to a variety of recipients such as schools, food banks and homeless shelters.
There are two roles available – Kitchen Volunteer and Warehouse Volunteer.
Kitchen Volunteer
There are two main activities - Food Prep and Meal Packing. Food Prep involves chopping, peeling and the overall preparation of ingredients using surplus food. You may also assist chefs in the cooking of meals. Meal Packing is where you will help assemble meals into boxes, which then go out to vulnerable people across London.
Address: Poplar warehouse: Unit 12, Thomas Road Industrial Estate, Thomas Rd, London E14 7BN
Warehouse Volunteer
This role involves the sorting and processing of surplus food coming from a variety of sources, and helping to allocate food deliveries.
How to get started
Sign up to King's Volunteering and apply to join The Felix Project as either a Warehouse Volunteer or a Kitchen Volunteer. You'll be making a real, immediate difference to food waste and food poverty in your local area.
Before you join The Felix Project as a volunteer, you'll need to attend an online info session. The online info sessions are designed to tell you more about volunteering and The Felix Project. They are the first step to becoming a Felix volunteer.
Sessions last 20 minutes and are online video calls so you can attend from the comfort of your own home.
