This is the second presentation in our Corbett Seapower Centre Seminar Series, where Dr William Reynolds from the Defence Studies Department will give a presentation entitled "'Warping the Outcome': Compellence and Deterrence in the Cod Wars", which will be followed by questions and a discussion.

About the speaker

Dr William Reynolds is an Advanced Education Pathway (AEP) Lecturer in Defence Studies in the Defence Studies Department, King's College London. Graduating with a Bachelors in War Studies, and Masters in National Security Studies from the same department, Will completed his PhD in War Studies in 2023 through the Interrogating Visions of a Post-Western World Leverhulme program hosted by the Centre for Grand Strategy.

Dr Reynolds' research foucuses on grand strategic, with a particular interest in the Cod Wars. In October 2022, he presented the book chapter 'The Role of the Domestic in Low-Intensity Maritime Conflict: A Cod Wars Perspective' in Power and the Maritime Domain: A Global Dialogue, edited by Greg Kennedy and William de Sousa Moreira.
