What happened in care homes during the pandemic? Results from three prospective studies.
The pandemic hit care homes particularly hard. Drawing upon three research studies, the experiences from care homes will be presented with lessons learned and recommendations for future practice.
About the speaker
Professor Preston is Co-Director of the International Observatory on End of Life Care at Lancaster University. After graduating with a degree in Nursing from King’s College London, she worked as a cancer nurse. She completed her PhD at the Institute of Cancer Research. Her research focuses on palliative care and how best to integrate it into healthcare systems including care homes.
