Dr Charlie Laderman will be talking about his new book, Sharing the Burden: The Armenian Question, Humanitarian Intervention and Anglo-American Visions of Global Order (Oxford University Press, 2019). He will be speaking about the American and British struggle to save the Armenians from genocide, and its continued relevance for the Middle East today.
This event is co-hosted by the Centre for Grand Strategy and the War Crimes Research Group (WCRG).
Dr. Laderman is a Lecturer in International History at the War Studies Department, King's College, London. He was previously a Harrington Faculty Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin, a Research Fellow at Peterhouse, Cambridge, a Fox International Fellow and Smith Richardson Fellow at Yale University, and a Fellow at the Kluge Center, Library of Congress. He is also the co-author with Brendan Simms of Donald Trump: The Making of a Worldview (I.B. Tauris, 2017).
