The Choir of King's College London and the King's College London Symphony Orchestra will give the first performance of William Alwyn's forgotten oratorio, 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell', Part 1. This work was a huge undertaking for the composer, who devoted five years of his life to it at the start of his career, setting the text by William Blake. Yet it was never performed, perhaps on account of its considerable size and complexity. This performance will present the very first chance to hear Part 1 of this inspired work.

Admission is free, but registration is necessary. Please register here by noon on Friday 17th February at the latest.
