Biography

Bianca Rudareanu: Hi, I am Bianca Rudareanu, I am a software engineer at Meta, 3D specialist. My education is in Mathematics and Computer Science, though not my first choice of profession, I was supposed to be a surgeon until dissection class in year 9. Luckily I love video games and have managed to work as a developer and realtime engineer in video games for 13 years before joining Meta, some of the games I have worked on have been: Fifa, Read Dead Redemption 2, most recently The Suicide Squad. AR/VR has always appealed to me and when the opportunity came calling I leaped at the chance to be part of the team that sets the stage for the Metaverse. I am also a mom to a 9 year old boy, my family currently lives in Brighton. We have two cats that hate each other and in my spare time I like long walks and eating copious amounts of mixed nuts.

Lena Witterauf: My name is Lena Witterauf, I am a software engineer at Meta. I have a Master’s degree in Software Engineering with a focus on Big Data Processing. I have a passion for algorithms and am excited by building for large scale systems. Meta is my first full time job after uni, during my degree I’ve interned with a list of software companies including Facebook and Amazon. At Meta, I’m currently working on building integrity tools for the Metaverse, which is something I am very passionate about. I’m additionally part of the women@ Meta London committee, where I work on projects focused on bringing more women into tech. In my free time I enjoy going to musicals and exploring vegan food at London’s food markets.
