The Camões Centre is happy to announce a workshop for Portuguese language teachers - whether native or non-native speakers. Teaching assistants and final year students are also very welcome.

The workshop will be led by Monica Lupetti (University of Pisa) and Paulo Osório (University of Beira Interior), and will cover:

• coping with interferences between Portuguese and mother tongues (i.e. Spanish and Italian)
• teaching strategies
• translation and translator training 
• the history of Portuguese language teaching

About the speakers:

Dr Paulo Osório teaches Portuguese Linguistics and Language Variation in Portuguese-Speaking Countries at the University of Beira Interior (Portugal). His research interests include the History of the Portuguese Language and Language Teaching.

Dr Monica Lupetti teaches Portuguese Language and Translation at the University of Pisa. Her research interests are Philology, Interlinguistics and the History of Linguistics.
