About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head Chef  to join our busy team at the Franklin Wilkins Building  on our Waterloo Campus

Reporting to the Executive Chef and Group Head Chef you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

This is a hands-on role and ideally you will have experience at a similar level and above all else have the drive to develop the current team and deliver excellent service.

This is a busy and challenging role, and the ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Have a strong craft background
  • Eye for detail
  • Be passionate about food
  • The ability to lead by example
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Understand food hygiene regulations
  • Financial awareness with the ability to manage costs

  This post is full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. This is primarily an onsite role.

1.      Good written and oral communication

2.      Knowledge of food preparation, cooking and portion control 

3.      Experience of hospitality and events catering

4.      Knowledge and understanding of all relevant health, hygiene and safety regulations

1.      Experience in training and staff development
