King’s College London are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst into the Finance Systems team within the within the Finance, Procurement, Strategic Planning and Analytics Directorate.
About the role:
The primary function of the role is to administer the College’s finance system, ensuring system integrity, resolving operational issues, managing on-going system development and managing and developing the Finance Systems Analysts
The System Administration team are primarily concerned with the operation and integrity of the production system i.e. ensuring throughput of data and that fundamental controls over financial and reference data are in place and operational.
They work closely with the Enterprise Systems teams within IT and provide support to users of the system College -wide. The team will play a key role in enabling finance transformation being led from within the department and impacting King’s financial management practice and data improvement.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Degree Level Qualification
2. Prior experience of Finance Systems processes and procedures at a Senior Analyst level.
3. Experience of leading, managing and developing a team to achieve complex and competing objectives
4. A commitment to continuous improvement both in the team’s own work and supporting this in others.
5. Strong SQL and Report Writing skills
6. Intermediate level user of Microsoft Suite of Office Products
7. Able to analyse issues and identify, design and implement solutions
8. Self-management and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of Unit 4 Business World/ERP/ERPx
2. Experience as a Business Analyst or managing a system upgrade.
3. Experience of having worked in or with the university sector.
4. Knowledge of project and/or process management
5. Financial or management accounting background
