The Global Student Recruitment and Admissions directorate delivers marketing, student recruitment and admissions services in partnership with Faculties, creating strategies to attract growing numbers of students from across global markets, as well as from the UK.
As a directorate we are responsible for the delivery of student recruitment targets, ensuring cohesive recruitment strategies and planning from lead generation and attraction, via admissions, through to conversion and enrolment.
About the role
The Student Market Research, Insights and Planning team play a critical role in providing data and insights related to the student journey to enable the development of strategies to achieve the university’s student recruitment targets.
The Market Research and Insights Manager plays a key role in coordinating student market research and data analysis of global student insights which can be used to support the development of student recruitment and marketing strategies.
The role will work closely with colleagues across Global Student Recruitment and Admissions to provide market and competitor analysis, providing actionable insights to support the development of strategies, campaigns, plans and activities.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level and/or proven experience in market research and data analysis
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to make informed decisions/recommendations, produce reports and monitor progress
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain and manage stakeholder relationships
- Meticulous attention to detail in data collection, data management and reporting
- Experience and proficiency in using data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, SPSS, Google Analytics).
Desirable criteria
- Experience working within the Higher Education sector.
