About us
The King’s Health Partners Clinical Trials Office is a collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. It was set up to provide a single interface for those wishing to conduct clinical trials within the partner organisations, and to ensure that there are common, efficient processes for the set up and administration of clinical trials.
About the role
The post-holder will provide operational, administrative and technical support to the Quality Manager in maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS) for non-commercial clinical trials sponsored or co-sponsored by King’s Health Partners (KHP) Organisations.
The role ensures that quality systems, processes and documentation are efficiently managed and that studies remain in an inspection-ready state, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and best practices, contributing to the delivery of safe, effective and ethical research across the partner institutions.
This is a full time (35 Hours per week) post, offered on a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Educated to degree level in health/health related area or equivalent professional experience working within a quality assurance role, either within academia, the NHS or the pharmaceutical industry
2. Excellent understanding of quality assurance and efficient quality management systems within a non-commercial clinical research environment.
3. Sound knowledge of clinical trial regulations, good clinical practice guidelines and other regulatory frameworks and their implication for health research.
4. Experience of developing and implementing new SOPs and processes.
5. Experience supporting regulatory inspection, especially by the MHRA
6. Strong computer skills (proficient with MS WORD, Excel and web-based applications).
7. Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and problem-solving skills including the ability to build successful relationships and collaborate in a cross-functional team and maintain a positive work environment.
8. Excellent record keeping and organisational skills with high levels of attention to detail
Desirable criteria
1. Quality Assurance related professional qualification or professional membership.
2. Experience of developing and/or delivering training.
3. Experience of conducting monitoring and auditing activities within clinical trials.
4. Experience of writing and delivering reports to influence strategic direction
5. Evidence of implementing and effecting change or service improvement**.**
