Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. In the face of this urgent challenge, PharosAI is leading the way in accelerating AI-powered cancer care.

Backed by £44M in funding, including £18.9M from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, PharosAI is an exciting joint venture between King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and Barts Health NHS Trust. With support from leading pharma, biotech, AI innovators, policy-makers, and patients, PharosAI is building a trusted, federated platform to unlock the potential of large-scale biobank data to accelerate cancer breakthroughs.

We are now seeking an Independent Chair to guide our Executive Board through this pivotal inception and growth phase. This is a unique opportunity to shape strategy, drive commercialisation, and position the UK as a global leader in cancer AI.

We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record as a Chair, Non-Executive or C-Suite executive in high-growth tech or AI driven companies, and demonstrable experience of commercialisation and investment. Expertise in developing spinouts would be an advantage. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of AI in healthcare and data governance, and exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
