In this section you will find out about what research is, what a research-led university is and how you will engage with research as a student.
ResearchHello and welcome to Starting your studies at King's. Here you will find some key information to help you prepare for studying at university as well as a downloadable tool that you can use to reflect and note questions on. First we would like to introduce you to Rosanna who will tell you more about this resource and how you can use it. As mentioned in the video, we recommend downloading the Starting your studies at King's: Reflection Tool to help you reflect on your academic skills and different aspects of your transition to King's.
This tool is structured to fit with this Starting your studies at King's resource, and you can use this tool in different ways to suit you: as you’re going through the resource or at the end, and you can add to it or change your answers throughout your first weeks and months at King's, so download it and keep it in a safe place. We suggest you take it to your Personal Tutor meetings, to help you start discussions and reflect on how you’re building your knowledge and skills over time. They may be able to answer some of your questions or point you to further support and resources. This won't be assessed as part of your programme.
