12 Kings Entrepreneurs named as semi-finalists in the Mayor Entrepreneur Competition

12 King’s entrepreneurs have made it to the semi-finals of the Mayor’s Entrepreneur Competition 2022, each submitting an idea to make London cleaner, greener and ready for the future.

This year there are five award categories – Creative Industries, Environment, Health, Tech and Social Enterprise. Each category explores some of the biggest challenges facing the capital, including air quality, green finance, cultural tourism, transport and mental health.

150 entrepreneurs from different London universities have reached the semi-final stage and will now produce 2-minute video pitches to take their ideas into the final.

The winners of each award will receive £20k to start up their business, alongside mentoring to help get their idea to market. The finalists will be announced soon.
