Academic Elected to the ICAPS Executive Council
Dr. Daniele Magazzeni has been elected to the ICAPS executive council for a 6 year term starting June 2016. ICAPS, the International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling, is the leading global conference in this important area of artificial intelligence.
Dr Magazzeni is internationally known for his work in the field of planning and model-checking and has worked on applications in domains ranging from autonomous underwater vehicles to smart grid and smart cities. Following his prize winning work on using planning to manage traffic congestion, he is currently developing techniques for intelligent traffic control in collaboration with Transport for London.
Dr. Magazzeni's election to the council is a great honour for him, the Artificial Intelligence planning group and the department of informatics.
