Alumni offer unique insights at networking night
Students from across the School of Politics and Economics were given valuable insights into careers at an alumni speed networking session.

A group of 20 alum from SPE returned to campus on 25 February to share their experiences, advice and insights into the working world with more than 100 current King’s students.
The group of alumni included those now working in the fields of law, consultancy, finance, technology and the civil service among others.
Students were given the chance to hear from each alumni before a series of roundtable speed networking sessions took place. The event ended with an open networking session where students were then able to connect with eachother as well as the special guests.
The event was hosted on the eighth floor of Bush House and was open to students from the Department of Political Economy, Department of European and International Studies, and King’s Russia Institute.
Becky Hart, Student Experience Manager in SPE, said: “We’re hugely grateful to our alumni for taking the time to meet with current students and offer such unique insights into their pathways after leaving King’s.
“It was so gratifying to see our students really engage with our guests and we look forward to hosting more events like this in future.”
Another alumni networking event is planned for November 2025. If you are an SPE alumni and are interested in taking part, e-mail spe@kcl.ac.uk.
