Alumni share advice and insights at networking event

A group of alumni from the School of Politics and Economics (SPE) offered their advice and insights to current students at a networking event hosted at King’s.

The alumni shared their experiences and career journeys, and offered tips and guidance, to a group of more than 50 current students who attended the networking event on 11 March.

The alumni included former members of the Department of Political Economy and Department of European and International Studies who have gone on to begin careers in a range of sectors, including in the civil service, at Deloitte and YouGov.

Lily Patrick, student experience officer in SPE, said: “It was amazing to hear from our former students and to learn more about their experiences after completing their studies at King’s. There were a diverse range of careers represented and they offered such valuable insights to our current students.”

The alumni included: Matis Pallotta - BA European Politics (2020) - Civil Servant at Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs; Dominic Prince - BA Political Economy (2018) - Associate Director at YouGov; Urwah Zahid - BSc Politics, Philosophy and Economics - (2020) Technology Consultant at EY; Meran Annalingan - BSc Political Economy (2018) – Double Masters Science Po/LSE & Economist @ Civil Service (Health and Social Care); Aaron Casanova - MA International Political Economy (2019) - Business Associate at PwC; Simran Prajapati - BSc Politics, Philosophy and Economics (2020) - Strategy Consultant at Deloitte; and Giulia Timme - BA Politics, Philosophy and Economics (2021) - MSc Student at LSE.
