Tania brings to King’s a wealth of experience in communications, media and external affairs and brand and reputation management. Tania has worked in Higher Education since 2007, holding senior positions at the University of Sydney, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and the Institute of Education. Tania joined the University of Sydney in February 2017, becoming their first Vice-Principal, External Relations. During her time there, she was responsible for the development and execution of strategy and services related to the External Relations portfolio.

On returning from Sydney, in April 2022 Tania founded Otus Advisory, utilising her broad experience to increase the strategic capacity of Higher Education Institutions through bespoke consultancy services and coaching.

Previously, Tania held the role of Director of Marketing and Communications at QMUL for five years, focussing on protecting and developing the University’s external reputation and overseeing institute-wide strategic initiatives. At the Institute of Education, prior to its merger with UCL, Tania was Head of Marketing and Development and Communications.

I am delighted, and feel privileged, to have the opportunity to help tell the next stage of the King’s story. I’m looking forward to sharing how the work of colleagues here improves lives, expands knowledge and understanding, and provides insights for decision makers at all levels. I can’t wait to get started.
