Building connections: Alum welcomed back for networking event
Former students from the School of Politics and Economics offered their unique advice and insights to current students at an evening of networking and mentoring.

The event, held on 10 November in Bush House, feature a series of roundtable speed-networking sessions, offering students the opportunity to gain career advice from King’s alumni.
The event welcomed diplomats, policy professionals, economists, analysts, civil servants and alumni who had progressed on to postgraduate study. This broad and diverse set of experts allowed students to explore potential career opportunities available to King’s students.
Discussions covered topics including guidance on graduate schemes, skill development opportunities and transitioning from university to the workforce.
The school is continuing to build its alumni and student relations. Another Alumni Speed-Networking event will be held in February, to support students undertaking postgraduate programmes. The school will also be re-launching the professional mentoring scheme in the new year, a formal mentoring scheme offering final-year students mentoring from alumni professionals.
