50 per cent of patients are diagnosed with cancer in the last stages of its growth. As a result, 80 per cent of those patients will die within five years. If there was an earlier diagnosis, 80 per cent of patients would survive for five more years. C the Signs is an online tool for GPs to identify patients at risk of cancer.

Founded by King’s Medicine alumna Dr Bhavagaya Bakshi and co-founder Dr Miles Payling, C the Signs is working with the NHS to help identify patients who are at risk of developing cancer at the earliest and most curable stage of the disease.

It has won multiple awards including the AbilityNetTech4Good Award, for contributing to the fight against cancer using innovative technology. It was also awarded £1m in funding from the Small Business Research Initiative for Health care to revolutionise cancer survival in the UK.

C the Signs was supported by the Entrepreneurship Institute’s King’s20 Accelerator.
