Blue Skies Above, Solid Ground Below: Innovation and Sustainability in Digital Humanities

The Department of Digital Humanities is pleased to announce its first early career researcher conference in Digital Arts and Humanities research. 

This years theme is Blue Skies Above, Solid Ground Below: Innovation and Sustainability in Digital Arts & Humanities.

We invite contributions on any related topic, but particular areas of interest falling within this years theme include:

  • curiosity-driven research
  • innovation in the representation of digital materials online
  • providing long-term digital access to cultural heritage
  • research grounded in real world problems

The conference committee seeks proposals for:

  • Presentations - submissions should include: a title, author list (including names, email addresses and institutional affiliations) and an abstract for the proposed presentation (no more than 250 words in length). Presentations on the day should last no more than 15 minutes and will be followed by five minutes of discussion time.
  • Posters - submissions should include: a title, author list (including names, email addresses and institutional affiliations) and an abstract for the proposed poster (no more than 250 words in length).

Further information will be made available through the conference Facebook page. Submissions should be made by 31 March 2015 via email. Please indicate in your email whether you wish to propose a presentation, poster or both.
