Two of the entries into the CCRB Pumpkin Carving Competition!

The Centre for Craniofacial & Regenerative Biology held their annual pumpkin carving competition at the end of October. The spooky event is held to welcome new staff and students to the Centre and the annual tradition sees teams get together to take part in the carving competition. The winning team took away a box of chocolates!

Judged by the whole department, the winning team was from the Streit Group. All members of the group were involved in the planning & carving, as seen in the photo below, the carvers included Ana, Jingyan, Constanza, Eva and Bowen.’

Named "Facial Regeneration" the pumpkin was carved to represent a day of the dead skull - with a frighteningly accurate likeness!

All groups put in a massive effort with original designs, and pumpkins are displayed in the department for all to enjoy! Thanks to all who took part!
