The Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future (ACFF) is an international dental health charity operated from the Dental Institute at King’s.

ACFF brings together a worldwide group of experts who work to promote integrated clinical and public health action through interprofessional collaboration to help dramatically reduce both the prevalence and impact of dental caries globally. ACFF currently has 27 local Chapters world-wide, active in over 40 countries.

The ACFF has four main global goals:

• Every child born from 2026 should remain cavity free for life.

• 90 per cent of dental schools and associations in participating countries should adopt ‘caries as a continuum’ approach to caries prevention and management within three years of a Chapter launch.

• Work collaboratively to reduce caries inequality across countries.

• By 2020, regional members should have integrated, comprehensive and locally appropriate caries prevention and management systems in place.
