Former government minister special guest at roundtable event
A former minister and leading official in the South Korean government joined a discussion with scholars and students at a roundtable hosted by King’s College London.
Professor Kim Sung-han, who served as vice minister of foreign affairs from 2012-2013, spoke to guests on a range of topics at the event, touching on US-China competition, South Korean geopolitical strategy, and the crisis of the liberal international order.
Prof Kim also served as a national security advisor to the government of South Korea and is currently a professor of international relations at the Graduate School of International Studies of Korea University.
The roundtable took place on 30 April and was organised by the King’s Korea Initiative. Attendees included scholars and research students form King's, the London School of Economics, SOAS University of London, and the University of Oxford.
