Former Prime Minister, Gordan Brown, delivered a talk titled 'Being Chancellor’ to our postgraduate students on 'The Treasury and an Introduction to Economic History' module, in Partnership with HM Treasury.

Angus Gillian, a current student, commented on the session:

'It was a great learning experience to have a Q&A session with former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, where we focused on his time as Chancellor. The session provided an opportunity to students to further their own unique research questions on the Treasury via discussion with one of the most prominent contemporary Chancellors. It was also highly conducive to our wider learning as experienced officials such as William Keegan and John Rentoul were in attendance and as a student body we were immersed in a unique environment with policy practitioners and political commentators.'
