Dr Gudrun Kunst, Adjunct Reader in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Consultant Anaesthetist at King’s College Hospital (KCH), has been appointed by Health Education England as the Pan-London Academic Training Programme Director (TPD) for Anaesthetics.
This position reflects recognition of her pioneer-work in implementing clinical research in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine within King’s Health Partners.
This appointment marks two firsts as Dr Kunst is the first anaesthetic National Institute for Health Research Academic Clinical Fellowship in South London appointed to KCH and it will also be the first time that an academic anaesthetic TPD has been based at a South London Hospital.
