Dr Gudrun Kunst,
Dr Gudrun Kunst,

This position reflects recognition of her pioneer-work in implementing clinical research in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine within King’s Health Partners.

This appointment marks two firsts as Dr Kunst is the first anaesthetic National Institute for Health Research Academic Clinical Fellowship in South London appointed to KCH and it will also be the first time that an academic anaesthetic TPD has been based at a South London Hospital.

With 30,000 operations at King’s College Hospital yearly and anaesthetists caring for two-thirds of patients across hospital services, it’s vital to engageanaesthetic teams in clinical and translational research to improve training, clinical practice and eventually patient outcomes.
