Jo, who is currently leading on REF, KEF and Research Impact at King’s, will take up her new role in the faculty on 8 January 2024.

Jo has worked in higher education since 2002, starting at London Business School as MBA Programme Manager. She subsequently worked in Registry and Planning at Brunel, was Research Policy Manager at UCL Institute of Education and College Research Manager for Business, Arts and Social Sciences at Brunel. She became REF Delivery Director at King’s in 2018 and was seconded to Research England for the REF2021 criteria setting and assessment phases. She is also a Board Director for ARMA and an external member of Brunel’s University Research Ethics Committee.

I am so excited to join SSPP, which everyone tells me is the best faculty at King’s! Over the past five years I’ve worked with fantastic colleagues from SSPP and can’t wait to get to know everyone else. I am looking forward to getting started in the New Year, and learning more about the amazing work that goes on in the faculty.

She succeeds Zoë Fearnley who is taking up a new secondment role within King’s as Co-Sponsor for Education Services portfolio within the Student Success Transformation Programme (SSTP).

I am delighted Jo is joining our faculty leadership team and bringing extensive experience and insights to the role. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Zoë for more than 10 years of fantastic leadership of our Professional Services within the faculty, during which she has achieved so much and worked closely with many of us. We wish her every success in her new role.
