Jo Moriarty advising on major longitudinal study
The study focuses on early career social workers in Scotland
Jo Moriarty, Senior Research Fellow at the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce, today attended the Advisory Group meeting for the major longitudinal study of early career social workers in Scotland which is being jointly undertaken by a team from Dundee (pictured) and Glasgow Caledonian universities. The team was asked by the Scottish Social Services Council to undertake a sub-study examining the impact of COVID-19 for social work.
Jo said, ‘This research complements the work undertaken within the Unit looking at the impact of COVID-19 on children's and adult services in England. The pandemic has affected all four constituent countries of the UK so it's important we can learn from different experiences in different administrations.’
