A new book edited by King's professors Arthur Burns and Paul Readman and UNC Chapel Hill associate professor Chad Bryant has been launched at King's and Chapel Hill.

Walking Histories, 1800-1914 focuses on how the examination of walking can bring new perspectives to historic analysis, and includes contributions from specialists in the history and culture of Great Britain, North America, Australia, Russia, East-Central Europe, and South Asia.

The book is the latest success in the department's longstanding collaboration with history colleagues at UNC Chapel Hill. A London launch was held in July and a gallery of photos from the event can be found here. In September the book was launched in Carolina, and Paul Readman and Chad Bryant spoke to North Carolina Public Radio about the book.
