The Menzies Australia Institute has announced the 2023 round of the King’s-Australia Partnership Seed Fund to foster research partnerships between King’s academics and researchers in Australian universities.

The fund offers up to £8,000 per project for King’s academics in any discipline to partner with researchers in Australia for research activities such as contributing to peer-reviewed research outputs, preparing bids for larger-scale research funding, developing international networks and/or capacity building for long-term partnerships.

The Menzies Australia Institute is excited to support collaborative research between King’s and Australian academics. I hope that the King’s Australia Partnership Seed Fund sparks exciting conversations and research partnerships across multiple disciplines.

Dr Agnieszka Sobocinska, Director of the Menzies Australia Institute

The seed fund offers opportunities to senior and early career researchers to conduct research activities including visits, workshops, seminars, fieldwork, lab or archival research in the UK, Australia or elsewhere.

Individual research visits by King’s academics to an Australian university or Australian academics to King’s may also be supported through the seed fund.

Applications for the seed fund are open until 23:59 BST on Friday, 28 August. Details of the eligibility criteria, scope of activities, selection criteria and application process are available on the webpage of the Menzies Australia Institute.

Proposals will be selected by a Menzies Australia Institute/School of Global Affairs committee and successful applicants will be notified in September 2023.

Applications close 11:59pm (BST) on Friday, 28 August 2023
