Emerging out of the renowned School of Management & Business, and comprising a growing body of 100 academic staff, more than 30 professional services staff, and over 1,700 students, the faculty will now work to implement its vision of setting a new direction for business education and research under the leadership of its Dean, Professor Stephen Bach.

A new type of business school

Professor Bach says: ‘King’s Business School will combine the agility of a start-up with the heritage of King’s, collaborating with other faculties to ensure an innovative student experience. We will build upon the success of our thriving School of Management and Business and aim to build the premier undergraduate business school in conjunction with specialist masters programmes.’

With an emphasis on relevance and diversity, the faculty fosters an entrepreneurial mind-set in students ready to face the challenges and embrace the opportunities facing business and society.

Vision 2029

King’s Business School is one of our transformative initiatives which support not only our Strategic Vision 2029, but also the five strategies that sit underneath it.

Professor Bach says: ‘King’s Business School is going to be very mission driven, which very much connects with Vision 2029; connecting with business London and working with prominent firms, start-ups and social enterprises. It also connects with the service element about making the world a better place. Another element of Vision 2029 it connects to is the international element – we bring students from over 80 countries into our undergraduate and specialist MSc programmes and we will be developing key international partnerships with business, other universities and international organisations.’

Bush House

The new faculty will move into Bush House, the former headquarters of the BBC World Service at Aldwych, over the coming month. During the next academic year staff and students will enjoy the facilities in Bush House, including the use of new teaching space including a state of the art lecture theatre and a specialist Finance & Trading Room. The faculty’s new location will make it a hub for engagement with business, the City, public sector organisations and government
