Professor Stephen Bach, Professor of Employment Relations and Executive Dean of King’s Business School, has been appointed to the NHS Pay Review Body. In this role, he will shape recommendations on the pay of the majority of NHS staff.

Professor Bach’s research focuses on public service employment relations and his appointment reflects his deep understanding of the NHS workforce. He has published extensively on employment relations within the NHS, the international migration of health professionals and new ways of working in the public services and his research has been funded by the ESRC, EU, Home Office, OECD, Leverhulme Foundation and the NHS.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to join the NHS Pay Review Body. Healthcare is a crucial part of any economy and an important focus of our work at King’s Business School. As a researcher I draw on King’s world-renowned expertise and experience in health and I am proud to contribute to the overall impact that we have on global health and well-being.
