Starting this academic year, students on the King’s Business School MSc in International Management can apply to earn a double degree at King’s Business School and Luiss in Rome.

On completing their King’s Business School programme, MSc students can proceed directly to one of three programmes at Luiss with a complementary focus; the Master’s in Management, the Master’s in Corporate Finance and the Master’s in Global Management and Politics. Students opting for the Luiss Master’s in Management can choose from specialisms in International Management; Luxury, Fashion and Made in Italy or Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Professor Christian Asmussen, Director of the MSc in International Management at King’s Business School said: “the Luiss Master’s is generally a two year programme so the ability for King’s Business School students to proceed directly from their King’s MSc to the second, more specialist year of study at Luiss is an exceptional opportunity.”

“As capital cities, Rome and London are both excellent places to gain an understanding of how businesses, the third sector and government interact. This contextual understanding will be more valuable than ever as we grapple with critical challenges around climate change, social and racial inequality and technology. There is a growing expectation that businesses become part of the solution to these problems.”

Dr Duncan Jackson, Director of the King’s MSc Human Resource Management and Organizational Analysis added: “as well as gaining the additional cultural intelligence that comes from studying abroad and is so valued in today’s international workplace, students taking the double degree will benefit from some of Luiss’s particular strengths and connections in the manufacturing, fashion and luxury goods industry.”

Incoming students from Luiss will be able to choose either the King’s Business School MSc in International Management or the MSc Human Resource Management and Organizational Analysis.

Dr Fabian Homberg, Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Programme Director of the Luiss Master’s Degree in Management added: “This new double degree opportunity is a further step in the ongoing internationalization of Luiss and testifies our commitment to provide the best possible preparation for our students to succeed in international careers.”

“Both programme options at King’s Business School enable students to become leading change agents with the capacity to develop organizations and people to meet the challenges of the future.”

Students on the exchange programme will be full members of the partner institutions, with access to careers support and a full range of co-curricular options designed to improve key employability skills as well as extra-curricular activities.
