Our online celebration of nursing and Florence Nightingale featuring blogs, news and more.

International Nurses Day is held on 12 May every year, the day Florence Nightingale was born. This year marks 200 years since the birth of Nightingale and in recognition of this, the World Health Organisation (WHO) have also designated 2020 as the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife.

This year, as we face a global pandemic, it is an especially poignant time for us to celebrate and raise awareness of nurses and the essential care they provide to people the world over and remember those who have lost their lives.

Although we cannot be together in person, we're celebrating online. Head to our celebration pages for features, videos, blogs and more from our staff, students and collaborators celebrating nurses.
