King's Dental ranked seventh in world in Shanghai Global Rankings

Dentistry at King’s has been ranked seventh in the world in the 2017 Shanghai Global Rankings. King’s College London is the only institution outside the United States to have made the top seven in Dental and Oral Sciences.

Executive Dean Professor Mark Woolford said: “The Shanghai Global Rankings reaffirms our position as a world-class institution and reflects the dedication, commitment and innovation of our academic and professional staff, our students, and our alumni.”

"King’s places great importance on the research carried out in the Dental Institute. It is a delight for this effort to be recognised and for the Dental Institute to be placed so high in the Shanghai Ranking. King’s is the clear top dental school for research outside North America using metrics that are based on measurable outcomes. I am very pleased the work of many colleagues receives the recognition it so richly deserves."
