King's ranked second in the UK and fifth in the world for nursing
The QS World University Rankings by Subject has been published annually since 2011.
Nursing at King’s has been ranked as second in the UK and fifth in the world for nursing in the 2018 QS World University Rankings. The QS rankings highlight the world’s top universities across 46 popular subject areas; Nursing has only been included in the subject list for the past three years.
The overall ranking score is made up of four metrics, each scored out of 100. The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care rated 91.6% overall, with particularly strong scores in the citations per paper (93.5%) and H index metrics (96.4%).
Executive Dean of the Faculty, Professor Ian Norman said: ‘Broken down, the QS World University Rankings by Subject show that our strength in research and scholarship is continuing to grow. And I hope that the work we are doing in the Faculty now, will improve our scores further in the years to come.’
The QS Rankings by Subject highlight the world’s top universities across 48 different subjects. Institutions are assessed on academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations, and impact of publications to give an overall score.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject has been published annually since 2011.
