King's student Michelle Agyemang dazzles in Euros

Alongside her football career, the teenager is also studying for a degree in Business Management at King’s College London.

England striker Michelle Agyemang has stunned in this year’s Euros, making it hard to imagine a tournament without the 19-year-old.

Competing in her first Euros, Agyemang is the youngest Lioness at the tournament - and the only teenager in the team.

She has twice saved England from the brink of elimination, helping to secure the Lionesses place in the Women's Euros 2025 final, with a goal in the 96th minute in their match against Italy.

England manager Sarina Wiegman predicted that the youngster would “bring something different” to her side.

At her England debut back in April, Agyemang took only 41 seconds to score after coming on as a substitute. She has since scored three goals in four senior international matches.

The Arsenal player, who was a ballgirl at Wembley as recently as 2021, had only played 14 minutes of senior international football before her Euros debut.

We are immensely proud of Michelle and all she has achieved so far. Her incredible performance is an inspiration to the entire King’s community and should encourage every student that you can excel in the classroom and score goals beyond the university at the same time. Join us in cheering the Lionesses loudly enough on Sunday so that she can hear us from London!”

Professor Shitij Kapur, Vice-Chancellor & President of King's College London

Agyemang is a lifelong Arsenal fan and joined the club's academy at the age of six. She played through the age categories and moved into the first-team set-up, making her debut in 2022 aged 16.
