King's welcomes the launch of ASU London, the next stage of TEDI-London

ASU London is the next step in the journey of The Engineering & Design Institute London (TEDI-London) – an engineering education initiative founded by King’s College London, Arizona State University and UNSW Sydney – the three partners of the PLuS Alliance.

TEDI building

TEDI-London, was launched in 2020 as a new way of thinking about engineering education by delivering innovative, project-based degrees in engineering - including Engineering with AI, Engineering with Mechatronics Systems and Global Design Engineering.

King’s has played a key role in nurturing TEDI’s success, which was created in response to the international shortage of engineers, delivering graduates who can offer a broad range of perspectives when it comes to solving ever-pressing global challenges.

We are proud of our role in co-founding TEDI-London and of being an integral part of its journey in providing innovative, project- and problem-solving-based engineering and design learning in a diverse and inclusive environment. We are delighted to celebrate this next step in TEDI-London’s journey to ASU London and are excited to see the initiative continue to flourish under the expert stewardship of ASU and their partner Cintana.

Professor Sir Bashir M. Al-Hashimi CBE FREng FRS, Vice President (Research & Innovation)

Building on the success of TEDI-London, ASU London, which will be led by Arizona State University and Cintana, will deliver degree programmes that will combine a three-year UK bachelor’s degree from ASU London with a choice of one-year accelerated master’s degrees at Arizona State University in the US. ASU London will incorporate TEDI-London’s programmes in engineering, alongside new degree offerings in business management, computer science and electrical and electronic engineering.

Professor Sir Bashir M. Al-Hashimi CBE FREng FRS, Vice President (Research & Innovation) said: “We look forward to continuing to collaborate closely with ASU as our PLuS Alliance partner—drawing on one another’s expertise and exploring new ways of thinking and problem-solving."

ASU London will welcome its first cohort of students in September 2026. More information is available here.
