Lecture highlights the changing nature of inflation
The changing nature of inflation was in focus at a flagship lecture hosted by the Department of European and International Studies.

Inflation: A Guide for Users and Losers saw political economists, Mark Blyth and Nicolo Fraccaroli, talk about their research on inflation and how its causes, cures and impacts have shifted over the last half-century.
From the 1970s right through to the cost of living crisis of the 2020s, Mark and Nicolo examined conventional wisdom about tackling inflation and argued for an urgent update in how we think about it amid the prospects for a more inflationary future.
The lecture took place on 26 November at King’s College London, with a full house in attendance to hear Professor Blyth (Brown) and Dr Fraccaroli (World Bank). After the lecture, guests were able to put questions to the academics.
