Recognizing the contribution of older people's day centres to prevention agendas
New article by Kritika Samsi and Katharine Orellana

Senior Research Fellow Kritika Samsi and Research Fellow Katharine Orellana today report findings from an exploration of stakeholder views on the preventive function of older people's day centres. The article, in the International Journal of Qualitative Studies on Health and Wellbeing, highlights how work undertaken in day centres falls under the radar as a systemic contribution to the prevention agenda within health and social care.
This research forms part of the Unit's work in the NIHR ARC South London: Social Care Theme, being carried forward under a focus on Strengths-based approaches in social care and community services.
