The Unit’s Nicole Steils and Michela Tinelli from the London School of Economics today presented emerging findings from a recent study on self-neglect and hoarding behaviour among older people to about 260 delegates attending an online session on ‘Adult Support and Protection and Safeguarding’ as part of the 5 Five Nations Conference Series. This presentation focused on both findings from qualitative interviews undertaken for the study and an economic analysis of cases involving self-neglect and/or hoarding behaviour.
The study was funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research. See the project page for all our publications thus far.
