It is very common to find patients with chest pain and normal coronary arteries. Using novel scientific methods, such as performing exercise during an angiogram, we have identified biological reasons that may explain why these symptoms occur. This may lead to targeted therapies in the future.

School Clinical Research Fellow wins Young Investigator award
British Heart Foundation (BHF) funded Clinical Research Fellow, Dr Haseeb Rahman has been announced as the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) Young Investigator of the Year 2018.
The award was given by the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) for his research which aims to improve the investigations used to help diagnose patients with cardiac chest pains.
Dr Rahman is a Clinical Research Fellow within the School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences at King’s and a cardiology registrar at Guy’s and St Thomas’.
