Professor Sarah Atkinson nominated for the Learning on Screen Awards

A short film from Professor Sarah Atkinson, Professor of Screen Media and Head of the Department of Culture, Media and Creative Industries (CMCI), has been nominated by the Learning on Screen Awards in the Educational Film (from a University) category.

The film, titled Live Cinema - Walking the tightrope between stage and screen, examines the growing prominence of live cinema events in the global film experience economy and features interviews with Woody Harrelson and Academy Award-winners historian Kevin Brownlow and film editor Walter Murch.

All nominations will be showcased and the winners will be announced at the Learning on Screen Awards Ceremony on the evening of Thursday 23 April at the Curzon Soho, London.

It's an honour to be nominated for such a prestigious award. This is a fitting recognition of the generosity of all of our wonderful collaborators and contributors who helped make the film such a rich picture of the live cinema field.
