King's College London's Stathis Kouvelakis, a reader in the Department of French and Syriza central committee member, says the way that the Greek crisis has played out "marks the end of a certain idea, or rather, a certain illusion of Europe".
In an interview with Le Nouvel Observateur, translated for VersoBooks.com, Kouvelakis says "there have been no negotiations", rather "a deadly trap - one that has closed in on [Greek prime minister Alexis] Tsipras".
